I have Schon’s reflective practitioner book in my kindle and read it but your woodworking example made it far more alive

It helps that you have these pictures of the beautiful furniture pieces

my father used to be in carpentry work before ditching it for the more lucrative occupation as shopkeeper so the example means even more to me

And your dichotomy between the two approaches (regular vs alternative) *chef kiss*

Regular : conceptually easy, actually hard and less likely to produce pieces that are _alive_

Alternative: conceptually hard, actually hard, but more likely to produce pieces that are _alive_
